Teacher & Staff Appreciation
Our teachers are the heart of Stormonth and Bayside, and each year we look for new ways to show our gratitude for the care they take in educating our students.
This school year, the PTO has been hosting teacher appreciation moments throughout the year, including:
- conference dinners for the late nights October and February
- hosting a holiday lunch for all staff in December
- a new coffee maker for the Stormonth teacher lounge
- stocking the fridge with iced coffee (donated by Happy Coffee) and other beverages
- adding snacks to the lounges (donated by That's It!)
- working with room reps to have students send letters of appreciation for Thanksgiving
In May, we'll continue to show our gratitude with Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8), which includes daily surprises for our teachers and staff!
May 4-8 Appreciation Week Schedule of Surprises:

Monday - Build-Your-Own-Bouquet Bar

Tuesday - Teachers’ Lounge Concession Stand (to be restocked throughout the week)

Wednesday - Morning Perk Deliveries

Thursday - Appreciation Gestures, have all the students bring in a card, drawing, or poster for their teacher(s)!

Friday - Catered Luncheon and Treat Bar

BY FRIDAY MAY 1st:
- Submit your "Because I Had a Teacher" story - We are collecting student and caregiver stories to display around Stormonth and Bayside during the week.
- Make a Donation - Donations can be made here, and help support all of the activities throughout the week.
- Volunteers are needed throughout the week. Please consider donating some of your time to helping us make this week a success!
